Job Description:

Under close supervision of the Lead and/or Production Manager, the Assembler C position is responsible for simple and repetitive job assignments with work ranging from simple to semi-complex in accordance with work order instructions, Engineering Drawings and Manufacturing Process Specifications. Due to the varying production requirements at the time of hire, this position may require soldering skills to Military specifications or ANSI-J-STD-001 in addition to mechanical/assembly skills or may require only mechanical/assembly skills.

Essential Functions:

Perform simple to semi-complex cable assembly per shop order instructions and engineering drawing.

Basic understanding of standard hardware installation sequence.

Ability to read hardware descriptions on Engineering BOM and physically identify the characteristic of the hardware.

Ability to communicate issues, concerns and/or questions to his or her supervisors/managers and/or support groups (Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Quality and Inspection).

Complies with company’s safety rules and regulations.

Responsible for the accuracy of time charging on job performed.

Responsible for keeping his or her work area clean and well organized.

Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Able to pass soldering test and be certified ANSI-J-STD-001 as required.

Able to read and understand both written and verbal instructions in English.

Working with fiberglass.

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Minimum 2-5 years ’experience assembling electro/mechanical hardware as stated above, preferably to military requirements and specifications.

Minimum 2-5 years’ experience reading assembly blueprints, IPC/WHMA-A-620 and hardware requirements.

Must be able to pass soldering test and be certified ANSI-J-STD-001 and/or IPC610 as required
