About the Role
Riddler Road Rally is hiring an Event Manager to lead the execution of our live, app-based scavenger hunt events held across cities throughout the U.S. These high-energy, immersive events combine puzzle-solving, GPS navigation, and real-time competition—delivered through mobile gameplay and in-person coordination.
As Event Manager, you'll be responsible for organizing all logistical elements of each rally, including entering puzzle content and location details, coordinating with sponsors and local businesses, and ensuring all games are ready to launch on event day. This role may also involve occasional travel to support pre-rally parties, assist with on-site logistics, or oversee event execution. Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Execution
Enter and manage event details in our system, including city maps, graphics, start and end locations, and timelines
Set puzzle routes, manage digital and physical rewards, and ensure all event materials are prepped and tested
Create and manage registration codes, post-event rewards, and swag distribution logistics
Location Scouting & Logistics
Research and assess puzzle and checkpoint locations for playability, GPS accuracy, and participant access
Coordinate with contractors to help vet puzzle locations and validate gameplay feasibility
Work with local businesses and municipalities to secure location permissions and avoid conflicts with other area events
Travel as needed to support pre-rally events, setup, or onsite execution
Puzzle Coordination
Ensure all puzzles are engaging, well-placed, and functional within the mobile platform
Assist in the creation and input of puzzles for public, private, and on-demand events
Manage internal testing and updates for quality assurance
Sponsor Integration
Collaborate with sales and marketing to incorporate sponsor offerings (e.g., swag or venue tie-ins)
Support pre-event sponsor coordination and help integrate them into gameplay where applicable
Oversee shipment and delivery of sponsor materials to event sites
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of experience in event coordination, live event production, or logistical project management
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple moving parts across cities
Experience using tools like GPS, mobile apps, and basic event tech platforms
Comfortable working with city officials, venue managers, and external partners
Strong problem-solver who can pivot in real-time and keep events running smoothly
Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred but not required
