**Job Title: CNC Machinist**

**Job Description**

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating both milling and lathe machines on a daily basis. Your role will involve performing CNC machining operations on plastic materials, particularly seals, and calling up and loading programs into the machining center. You will be required to change collets and tooling, make necessary adjustments to programs, read blueprints of work orders, check dimensions and tolerances of produced parts, and make offset adjustments to keep products within specifications.

**Responsibilities**

+ Setup and operate milling and lathe machines daily.

+ Perform CNC machining operations on plastic materials (seals).

+ Call up and load programs into the machining center.

+ Change collets and tooling as needed.

+ Make necessary adjustments to programs.

+ Read blueprints of work orders to ensure accuracy.

+ Check dimensions and tolerances of produced parts.

+ Make offset adjustments to maintain product accuracy.

+ Operate other cell equipment and processes as required.

**Essential Skills**

+ 3+ years of experience setting up CNC lathes.

+ Ability to accurately perform program adjustments.

+ Proficiency in changing out collets and tools.

+ Experience with lathe operations using Fanuc controls running G&M code language.

+ Proficient use of measuring tools including micrometer, caliper, and go/no-go gages.

+ Ability to read and edit G&M Codes.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ 10+ years of manufacturing experience with CNC equipment is preferred.

+ Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.

**Work Environment**

Work in a very clean, climate-controlled environment that is heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer. The facility specializes in producing seals and operates on a cell-based system running 1-2 machines. You will be standing at the machine constantly, performing setups and operations throughout the day. The work schedule is 9 hours Monday to Thursday and 4 hours on Fridays, with additional overtime available on Fridays. No weekend work is required. Shift options include 1st shift from 6am to 3:30pm and 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 1am, with initial training on 1st shift.

**Job Type & Location**

This position is based out of Elgin, Illinois.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
