Functional Description:
DDG is seeking a Business Analyst to support the U. S. Marine Corps College of Distance Education and Training (CDET). The analyst will be part of the Business Operations team, supporting financial tracking and reporting, along with process improvement and general analysis support. The position will be on site in Government provided space at Marine Corps University, Quantico VA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide budget analytical expertise to the CDET Business Operation Section in the performance of financial administration, record keeping, data input and management.
Provide budget analytical expertise in the preparation of program briefings and presentations, e.g. Program Objective Memorandum and Program Reviews.
Track budget obligations and expenditures, track and record reconciliations.
Develop graphs and charts depicting visual representations of planning versus actual spending monthly for each line of funding.
Track and report monthly progress in each financial category: Phasing, Authorization, Commitment, Obligation, Expense and Liquidation on a weekly basis to allow for on call budget decision to be made by the CDET Deputy Director and Business Operations Analyst.
Develop solutions to automate reporting processes using M365 on the edu network.Assist the CDET Business Operations analyst with:
Development of acquisition packages below the simple acquisition threshold. This will mainly support Government Credit card purchases and conference packages.
Development of the annual phasing plan.
Providing budget analytical expertise to EDCOM financial personnel relative to CDET financial administration and accounting.
Required Experience:
Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Extensive experience with all M365 capabilities to include Forms.
Experience with data management and analysis tools/techniques.
Desired Experience:
Lean Six Sigma or Process Improvement Specialist (CPIS) certification.
Experience working with the military.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a business or technical related field.
