Bloomfield Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Laurel Elementary School.
This role plays a key part in supporting student skill development while working hand-in-hand with educators and families. We’re looking for someone with a team-first mindset, a deep understanding of behavior intervention strategies, and strong data collection skills to help drive meaningful outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teacher Collaboration & Modeling: Partner with teachers to implement best practices for student behavior, including modeling, coaching, and technical support.
Training & Supervision: Guide and supervise ABA Assistants/RBTs and staff in implementing interventions and monitoring student progress.
Student Support Planning: Conduct informal assessments and Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to help design Behavior Support Plans and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Data-Driven Interventions: Collect and analyze data to support strategies, ensuring interventions are implemented with fidelity and are effective.
Collaborative Leadership: Participate in SRBI meetings, Academic Reviews, and PPTs; share insights and contribute to team-based decision-making.
Inclusion Advocacy: Promote meaningful student inclusion in all aspects of school life.
Education and Certifications/Licenses Required:
BCBA certification and state licensure
Training in trauma-informed practices is a plus
PMT Certification preferred
Effective Date of Hire: ASAP or Start of the 2025-2026 School Year
Salary/Benefits: Dependent upon experience/Full Benefits
Work Year: Ten month position with opportunity for ESY
