Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - North America
Job Overview:
Venteon is seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for our North American client. The CFO will be responsible for driving the financial strategy and profitability within the region, while ensuring compliance with financial standards and providing visionary leadership in all aspects of accounting, finance, tax, risk management, and treasury functions. This role will focus on operational analysis, strategy formulation, and fostering long-term growth within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Strategy: Lead the financial initiatives for North America, driving profitability through strategic financial planning and analysis across the region.
Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and internal reporting frameworks. Lead internal and external year-end audits in collaboration with external auditors.
Operational Oversight: Manage accounting, finance, tax, risk management, treasury functions, and internal controls for the region.
Budgeting & Financial Forecasting: Propose and implement measures to ensure that annual cross-functional budgets are met, contributing to overall organizational success.
Growth & Risk Management: Advise on short-term and long-term growth opportunities, assess risk, and address urgent matters that could impact the financial health and success of the organization.
Revenue & Cash Flow Management: Develop processes to ensure the timely and accurate collection of a multibillion-dollar revenue stream as well as suppliers.
Financial Institutions & Funding: Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions to secure funding for operations and develop accurate cash flow forecasts.
Pension & Risk Management: Oversee the Pension Committee, risk management initiatives, loss prevention, and corporate real estate management for the region.
Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate reporting and timely payment of federal, state, sales, and use taxes, as well as resolve audit inquiries for North America.
Incentives & M&A Support: Oversee state and local incentives, ensuring timely reporting, and support mergers & acquisitions (M&A) activities.
Internal Audit & Special Investigations: Lead internal audit functions and manage special investigations.Job Requirements:
What You Bring to the Role:
MBA and/or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably within the automotive industry.
