Position Summary:

Follow work order, work instructions/SOPs, perform duties to operate manufacturing machinery, inspect, package final product, and perform backup Lead Operator duties while adhering to Good Manufacturing/Documentation Practices standards.

Dept 60- Packaging:

Dept 60 – Interdental Packaging:

Following SAI safety procedures including PPE USE.

Apply lean 5s principles.

Ability to multitask.

Following scrap escalation process.

Feed product into machinery as directed by the Lead Operator.

Ensure no debris/contamination is on the product and materials.

Apply shipper and inner package labels as necessary.

Replenish cartons, cards, literature, blisters, as needed.

Adjust and clear, simple jams or contact Line Lead for complex jams.

Monitor the quality of the product being packaged for proper orientation, correct date code, and clear complete package.

Place correct quantity of product into bags as specified on work order and assembly specifications.

Weight count product to assure correct count. Apply stamp to carton and write badge number in the appropriate location on carton.

Education

Minimum of High School Diploma (or GED equivalent)

Ability to complete Sunstar Departmental Training matrix and Training Checklist

Knowledge/Experience

Prior manufacturing experience preferred

Skills

Must be able to read, speak and comprehend written work instructions that are presented in English for the effective performance of the position.

Good communication skills and detail oriented

The pay range for this position Production Worker II is $16.27 to $21.97. However, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus depending on company performance.
