Reports to: Principal Scientist - R&D

Location: Sterling, VA

Work Schedule: Onsite Day Shift

Travel: Minimal (<5%)

What You’ll Do:

Support Research & Development activities and team priorities as needed.

Contribute to engineering projects in mechanical, systems/industrial, biomedical, computer, or related fields relevant to R&D and Design Transfer.

Assist in coordinating and preparing testing activities, including logistics, equipment scheduling, test setup, and material preparation under the Principal Scientist's direction.

Perform tests, collect and analyze data, and document findings to support verification and validation of next-generation Euclid products.

Adhere to applicable procedures and quality systems for assigned tasks.

Deliver clear, independent documentation and results aligned with project and testing objectives.

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering or related program.

Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language and/or CAD software (e.g., Solidworks).

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Ability to multitask and maintain organization of documents.

Desired Skills & Knowledge:

Coursework or lab experience in engineering fundamentals (e.g., materials, mechanics, circuits, systems, or design).

Understanding of basic experimental methods and how to follow test procedures.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as schematics, protocols, or SOPs.

Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical/electrical schematics.

A portfolio of relevant projects (optional but encouraged).

Quality Assurance:

Adhere to company SOPs and quality standards to ensure compliance with FDA regulations.

Complete all documentation accurately and thoroughly.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Hands-on work requiring use of hands, arms, and clear communication.

May involve standing, walking, sitting, climbing, or kneeling for extended periods.

Frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds.

Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Authorization: Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States.
