Our partner is seeking a dedicated Sheet Metal Shear Operator to join their production team. In this role, you will set up and operate power shears to cut metal objects to specified dimensions and angles. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a desire to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate power shear to cut metal objects to specified dimensions and angles

Read and analyze blueprints and operate computerized fabrication equipment, including shears, saws, and presses

Measure, mark, cut, bend, shape, fit, and permanently join sheets of metal using shears, press brakes, welding equipment, and computer-aided machines

Change equipment over to new products

Use hand or power tools and precision measuring tools and equipment

Load or unload material or workpieces into machinery

Maintain or repair industrial or related equipment

Set up operations and measurements of material and machinery Qualifications and Requirements:

Previous experience operating power shears, saws, or presses preferred

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Attention to detail and ability to follow production instructions

Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed Benefits and Perks:

The base pay range for this position is $22+/hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
