As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Bank, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Develop Mobile applications for chase apps using Swift, Swift UI and Objective C

Collaborate with UX designers on rapid prototypes of new concepts and features to implement superior user experiences

Optimise mobile applications for maximum speed, reliability and scalability, follow and promote Agile practices including Scrum, Lean, BDD and Continuously Delivery

Research new technologies, identify and learn best practice, adapt quickly and provide technical guidance across the organisation and work with multiple globally distributed teams to deliver end-to-end solution across regions

Promote excellent user experience and system performance by supporting SRE practices

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience

Proficient in mobile development frameworks including Android, Kotlin

Develop Mobile applications for chase apps using common Android libraries such as Jetpack Compose and Kotlin Coroutines

Optimize application for various mobile screen sizes and Android devices

Experience in working on large and complex mobile apps and in implementing complex mobile front-end solutions and experience with Unit and automated testing with test driven development

Mobile Native Application and Mobile Hybrid Testing via devices and simulators in both Android and iOS platform

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills including strong written and verbal communication and excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Agile/Scrum as well as Waterfall development methodologies

Build automation (static and dynamic analysis) and frameworks with software engineers that are able to improve security, whilst also improving developer and customer experience.

Understanding of mobile app vulnerabilities.

Provide challenge and assessment of potential technology risks including information and cyber security control weaknesses by performing threat modelling exercises. Provide technology risk subject matter expertise and communicate the risk environment to management and other key stakeholders.

Build solid professional relationships with matrixed teams to include technology, business, audit, and operational risk partners.
