Business Analyst – Annuity & Life Insurance Products (B2B API Integration) Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid – On-site 3 days/week) Duration: 9–12 months Work Authorization: U.S.

Citizen or Green Card holder required We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the development and delivery of innovative B2B API solutions connecting Allianz with key external partners, including FinTech platforms, aggregators, broker-dealers, and Field Marketing Organizations.

This role will focus on Fixed Annuity, Variable Annuity, and Life Insurance products, with responsibilities spanning requirement gathering, partner onboarding, production support, and cross-functional collaboration in an Agile team environment.

Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Analysis Collaborate with product owners, developers, architects, and external partners to define and document detailed business and technical requirements Translate business needs into clear and actionable user stories, use cases, and workflows Participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with the team to ensure understanding of requirements and desired outcomes Support test case creation and validation of acceptance criteria Project Support & Partner Integration Assist with onboarding and testing efforts for B2B partners Support production issue triage and resolution for B2B data exchange Participate in QA, regression, and lower environment testing support Help coordinate and track progress of key initiatives and enhancements Communication & Stakeholder Collaboration Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and B2B partners Clearly communicate requirements, changes, risks, and dependencies to all stakeholders Help ensure alignment to business objectives, roadmaps, and program goals Contribute to building and maintaining the API capability catalog Sample Projects Enhancements and updates to Fixed, Variable Annuity, and Life products Development and expansion of API offerings for external B2B partners Cross-functional collaboration on enterprise projects Ongoing support and improvement of B2B integration processes Team Environment Methodology: Agile / Kanban Team Composition: Program Manager, Product Owner, Scrum Master, Business Analyst, Technical Analysts, API Developers, QA, Enterprise & API Architects Qualifications & Skills Preferred Experience: 3+ years in a Business Analyst role in financial services or insurance Strong understanding of annuity and life insurance products Experience with B2B integrations or API-related projects Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA Core Competencies: Strong communication and documentation skills Analytical thinker with attention to detail Self-starter with a proactive mindset Comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams Able to influence and collaborate without direct authority This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst who enjoys working on high-impact initiatives in a dynamic and collaborative Agile environment.
