Job Title:Fiscal Associate

Department:Engineering Knowlton School of Architecture Administration

Job Description:

Under the direction of the KSA Business Officer, provides support for fiscal and procurement functions within the Knowlton School of Architecture (KSA); serves as point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and guests regarding finance, travel, and procurement activities, interpretation of policies and procedures, and other fiscal-related issues; initiates journal entries, as needed, and serves as School's Procurement Card manager; responsible for recording and submitting all deposits made to the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), the Development Office, and the college's Business Operations Center (BOC) on behalf of the School; serves as liaison between the BOC and end users; assembles, maintains, and organizes files for financial transactions; arranges travel and is responsible for initiating travel requests, assisting with post trip submissions, initiating fiscal transactions in Workday on behalf of KSA faculty, staff, and students; works with the BOC to ensure efficient processing of transactions; assists the KSA Business Officer with financial reconciliation and monitoring fiscal activities, as well as financial reporting and preparation of financial statements; ensures all university and college policies are followed; ensures all supporting documentation conforms to university guidelines; as directed by the College Internal Control structure, ensures segregation of duties in the processing of every transaction, appropriate mandatory approvals and reconciliation.

Minimum Education Required

High School Diploma or GED

Required Qualifications

Required:

1 year of Business experience in an administrative capacity, preferably in sponsored program administration; excellent customer service experience.

Desired:

Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality; effective interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills; experience with University financial system, Workday; knowledge of university policies, rules and regulations; experience working in and contributing to diverse environments.

Payrate: $18.17-23.90/hr.

The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
