About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to support the maintenance and operation of Norwegian Ground-Based Surveillance Radars. This role involves scheduled and preventative maintenance across multiple radar sites, collaborating closely with the Norwegian Defence Materials Agency (NDMA) to provide training and technical support.
As a key representative on-site, you will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, conduct product briefings, and ensure optimal radar system performance.
The candidate would need to hold US citizenship to carry out duties of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance of ground-based surveillance radars at multiple sites.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues, supporting national system maintainers in fault identification and rectification.
Provide on-the-job training to Norwegian Service personnel as needed.
Manage warranty claims related to all LM equipment.
Document all maintenance activities using the Work Order tool, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
Collect and analyze system performance data for monthly activity reports.
Act as a technical liaison between the company, customers, and vendors.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for a minimum of NATO Secret Security Clearance.
Technical Expertise: Proven experience in radar system maintenance.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality assurance regulations.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to innovate and prioritize tasks.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Capable of collecting and interpreting data for reporting purposes.
Communication: Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Certifications: COMPTIA A+ and COMPTIA Security+ certification required.Additional Information:
Work Schedule: Standard Monday to Friday hours.
Travel Requirements: Frequent travel to multiple radar sites.
Environmental Conditions: Must be capable of working in challenging environments, including harsh cold climates.
