POSITION TITLE: Court Liaison / OAA

FLSA: Full-Time

REPORTS TO: Director of Adult Education

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time Position of 240 days with benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working with justice involved students, Arkansas Community Correction students, and youth in crisis.

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field of study preferred.

GED or High School Diploma Required.

Strong computer skills and proficiency in Google Sheets.

Highly motivated with strong organizational skills.

We prioritize student and staff safety. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Educate yourself on current events in adult education.

Maintain good relationships with referring agencies and other work contacts.

Attend all court proceedings and maintain presence at the Sebastian County District Courts.

Report the hours of attendance and compliance in the program weekly to the district court.

Contact students that are not in compliance with their court order to see what is preventing them from being in compliance and strongly encourage the students to become compliant with the order of the court

Perform other tasks as requested by the Director.

Prepare and take to court review, certificate of completion for students that have successfully completed their court-required course of instruction.

Work with the LACES staff to ensure accuracy of attendance of students in the court programs.

Assist with any administrative duties required in the daily administration of classes held at the school.

Receive messages and respond to inquiries by staff, students or patrons of the district.

Type administration's correspondence, reports, process evaluations, do general filing and typing.

Answer phone, receive messages, and respond to inquiries by staff, parents, or patrons of the district.

Assist in preparation of building staff emergency phone list.

Attend some local meetings/training as required by administration.

Work additional hours as directed.

Maintains prompt and regular attendance.

Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive professional working relationships with others.

Maintain confidentiality.

Present and communicate in a professional manner. OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Has the ability to lift at least 40 pounds occasionally.

Ability to endure prolonged standing, walking, sitting, occasional reaching above the head or the shoulders, bending, squatting, and kneeling.

Teachers could be asked to teach at various locations to serve the needs of students.
