The ideal candidate for the Manufacturing Engineer role should be passionate about improving all aspects related to the manufacturing process. The Manufacturing Engineer will design, implement, and review equipment, processes and procedures involved in custom plastic extrusion and assembly at Engineered Profiles. The Manufacturing Engineer is expected to help improve the performance in all these areas. Manufacturing Engineer Job Duties:

Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting time studies; solicit observations from operators; applying knowledge of product design, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors.

Develop manufacturing and quality processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods.

Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.

Assure product quality by designing testing methods; testing and evaluating finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing and quality processes.

Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, estimating future requirements.

Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Maintain product and company reputation by complying with customer requirements.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Requirements and Preferences:

Self-motivated individual with proven ability to lead continuous improvement efforts required

Experience in manufacturing (quality, sales, production) preferred

0-3 years' experience in engineering or manufacturing

4-year degree preferred (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Degree)

Understanding of Engineering Drawings. Ability to use AutoCAD or similar CAD software to produce detailed drawings

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)

Proven high degree of personal motivation and discipline to perform duties with minimal direct daily supervision

High level of independent thinking and resourcefulness to develop and propose solutions to problems

Ability to interface with various levels of staff from engineers to management, to production operators

Ability to successfully prioritize and work multiple tasks concurrently.
