Opportunity:

The Project Manager, Drug Optimization Team, will lead the scoping, planning, and execution of initiatives supporting both the Drug Authorization Team and the Drug Purchasing and Inventory team. The Drug Authorization Team is a newly established centralized department dedicated to securing insurance authorizations for prescribed treatments. The team serves as a vital liaison between payers, physicians, and clinic staff, ensuring timely access to vision-related therapies for patients while supporting accurate and efficient reimbursement processes for the clinic. This team is essential to the success of the retina service line— the organization’s largest and most impactful area of business.

Reporting to the VP of Drug Optimization, this role manages projects operationalizing pharmaceutical strategy and execution across departments. You will work closely with both senior management, physician leadership, and frontline staff.

As a Project Manager on the Drug Optimization Team, you’ll play a key role in advancing innovation, scalability, and operational excellence through the successful delivery of high-impact initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the ideation and development of innovative solutions: Conduct stakeholder interviews, market research, and competitive analysis to identify and prioritize opportunities

· Assist in the end-to-end planning, analysis, and implementation of new workflows

· Deliver regular project updates to stakeholders and executive audiences via email, ensuring alignment and visibility into progress, risks, and next steps.

· Scope, define, and charter projects in collaboration with executive and operational stakeholders, ensuring clear objectives, timelines, resource needs, and success criteria.

· Define KPIs and success metrics for Drug Optimization Team strategic initiatives and monitor performance against them.

· Generate and maintain comprehensive project plans, RAID logs, and RACI matrices to ensure clarity and alignment among project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Healthcare Management, or a related field required. MHA, MBA, MPH, or other relevant master’s degree preferred. An advanced degree or certification may be considered in lieu of some experience.

Experience: 2–5 years of progressive experience in project management, strategic planning, or within a leading consulting firm. Management consulting experience preferred.

Essential Skills:

· Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Copilot, Outlook, and Teams.

· Proven track record of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including C-level executives, senior management, physicians, and front line staff.

· Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously.

· Strong presentation and communication skills—equally comfortable addressing large groups or engaging one-on-one with diverse stakeholders. Able to tell a compelling story, persuade, and gain buy-in.

· Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data, generate insights, and develop data-driven recommendations.

Work Environment and Travel:

· This role is based in our Central Business Office in New Providence, NJ.

· Expectation of four days per week in the office or in the field; overnight travel is minimal (less than 10–15% of working time).
