Objective of the Position: Industrial Engineering efforts focused on manufacturing processes, material flow, labor utilization, production efficiency to help in achieving the Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives of the organization.
Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
Work closely with Assembly, Packaging, Press and Facilities Engineers to establish process flows, cell layout, man power planning, material flow and best practices for new and existing processes.
Evaluate existing manufacturing standards, layouts, operation methods, machines, tools and man-hours utilized to determine excessive cost items to effect cost reductions.
Prepare capacity analysis, procedures, specifications and standards for documentation and reference.
Assist in equipment and automation selection, provide performance specifications and standards.
Develop methods and operating data for various types of new equipment, and assist with prove outs, training and recommend ways and means of correcting and resolving problems.
Responsible for maintaining and updating Key Process Indicators (KPI).
Create and Maintain product routings in SAP
Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
Support Lean and Continuous Improvement culture.
Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
Quality - Follow all EETAM polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirement Profile: Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive (metal forming / stamping) industry.
Experience in planning and coordinating new program launch activities.
Technical Expertise:
Time & Motion studies, Line balancing, Capacity planning, Labor utilization, Production planning and control and other industrial engineering principles.
Experience in creating process flows, work standards and inventory management systems.
Layout planning and design experience is helpful.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Project, Access, Excel, and Power point.
