Backend Systems Engineer - Data Sync & Architecture

We’re looking for a back-end focused Data Integration Platform Engineer who’s passionate about architecting scalable, resilient systems—and who thrives on solving real-world data challenges. In this role, you will:

Design, build, and maintain the backend of our integration platform

Build systems that ingest, transform, and synchronize data across SaaS APIs

Maintain data integrity, reliability, and traceability across complex sync scenarios

Work directly with CRM, ERP, and SaaS APIs to develop robust, flexible integrations

Own technical solutions end-to-end—architecture, implementation, testing, and deployment

Document your systems thoroughly, supporting both internal stakeholders and external users

Actively contribute to team collaboration, planning, and iteration in an agile environment

Stay current with modern backend patterns and integration best practices, and drive improvements to our platform

Attributes we're looking for:

3+ years of experience building backend systems and working with APIs

Experience building back-end services using Node.js and frameworks like Express, Fastify, NestJS, etc.

Polyglot-friendly: experience with Go or similar languages (e.g., Rust, Java, C#) is a bonus, especially if you have strong backend instincts across stacks

Deep understanding of REST APIs, authentication flows (OAuth2), and webhooks

Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.)

Experience working with integration or data sync workflows across multiple systems

Mentorship-minded: you enjoy reviewing code, offering feedback, and helping level up junior teammates

Big-picture thinker with strong architectural instincts: you balance pragmatism with vision, designing elegant systems while navigating legacy complexity and future scalability
