Job Title: IT Service Desk Associate

Client: Global Investment Firm

Location: San Francisco, CA

Compensation: 55-60/hr

Contract: Contract to Hire

Job Description:

As an IT Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the firm's technological infrastructure. Serving as the primary point of contact for IT support and administration, you will ensure smooth operation of the IT service desk and contribute to the overall efficiency of the firm's technology systems.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Windows 10/11 workstations in a business environment. You should also have experience managing Okta for identity and provisioning, along with familiarity with MDM tools such as Intune and JAMF. A minimum of 2 years of experience supporting video conferencing platforms, particularly Zoom, is required, as well as a strong understanding of networking principles. Preferred qualifications include certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, or ITIL, and/or experience working within a regulated financial services environment.

This position is based in our San Francisco (Financial District) office and will report directly to the Head of IT.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support: Serve as the initial point of contact for end user support, ensuring timely issue resolution and providing comprehensive end-to-end support.

Onboarding/Offboarding Coordinator: Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes for- staff, ensuring a smooth transition in technology resources.

Workplace Systems: Maintain and oversee workplace conference room systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations.

Endpoint Management: Manage, inventory, and maintain endpoint devices, including Windows PCs and iOS mobile devices, to guarantee optimal performance and security.

Documentation and User Guides: Contribute to the creation and upkeep of documentation and user guides for various IT systems and processes.

IT Training: Participate in coordinating training for staff, enhancing technology proficiency, cybersecurity awareness, and promoting general best practices.

Required Qualifications:

4+ Years of IT experience required.

A general admin understanding of Microsoft 365.

MDM/Endpoint Administration: Proficiency in supporting both Windows and iOS endpoints using Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro.

SSO/SAML Expertise: A good understanding of Okta or other single sign on provider, including user and app management.

Security Awareness: Working knowledge of IT cybersecurity best practices

Video Conferencing: Strong familiarity of Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Network Basics: Strong understanding of basic networking concepts and experience troubleshooting network related issues.

In-Office Commitment: Must be available to work in the office 5 days a week.

Additional Qualifications:

One or more related certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, ITIL)

Experience working in a regulated financial services environment
