Application Engineer (Remote - Nationwide Travel)

Join a dynamic and forward-thinking team as an Application Engineer supporting advanced automation solutions and robotics integration across diverse industries. This is a remote role, open to candidates located anywhere in the United States, provided they are within close proximity to a major airport. Expect to be on the road frequently, as this position involves extensive domestic travel to customer sites, often on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver on-site technical support, installation, and commissioning of robotic automation systems.

Collaborate with project managers, sales engineers, and product developers to define technical solutions.

Conduct system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and field testing to ensure optimal system performance.

Train clients on robot programming, system operation, and preventive maintenance.

Serve as a key liaison between customers and internal engineering teams, ensuring clear communication and technical alignment.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, or machine integration.

Proficiency in robot programming languages (e.g., KUKA KRL, ABB RAPID, FANUC TP, etc.).

Strong skills in PLC programming, motion control, and system integration.

Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% across the U.S.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer-facing skills.

Must have a valid driver’s license and U.S. work authorization.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with KUKA robots and automation software platforms.

Experience with CAD tools, electrical schematics, and system layout design.

Exposure to vision systems, safety systems, or industrial networking protocols.
