CENTRAL REGISTRATION SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS: * Proficient in keyboarding, email, and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Ability to use computer-based applications for record keeping.
* Working knowledge of basic office procedures and operation of office equipment (computer, fax, copier) * Previous experience working in an office.
* High School Diploma.
* Successful screening through the district Human Resource employment process.
* Knowledge of Real-Time system * Preferred experience of Districts registration process REPORTS TO: Student Support Services Supervisor JOB GOAL: To ensure consistency in student records, and enrollment practices across the District and provide a high quality level of District registration and primary point of contact for student registration.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: * Major emphasis is maintaining both paper and computerized records, upload required documents in real-time * Verify student residency through required proof of residence documents * Enrollment all new students/ enter students in real-time system correctly * Verify all Affidavit students and maintain computerized records and paper * Refer all materials to appropriate staff, i.e.; Special Services, School Nurse, Guidance Dept, Curriculum Dept * Prepare yearly affidavit letters packets for over 1600 affidavit residences * Verify all yearly affidavit proof of residency * Verify/ and enroll all preschool lottery students and spring kindergarten registration * Assist Student Support Services Dept as needed.
* Flexibility to have in-person appointments as needed * Capable of answering high-volume calls and emails related to registration * Ability to work independently, demonstrates initiative, prioritizes tasks, and performs assignments as directed with accuracy, attention to detail, and within established time frames.
COMPENSATION: Should be commensurate with salaries prevalent with district of the same size.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 Months VACATION: As per current district vacation policy.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy of Evaluation of Personnel.
