DevOps Engineer

Job Description

The SafeStreets Technology Team is searching for an experienced, enthusiastic, and innovative DevOps Engineer. Working closely with Technology Team members, project managers, and business partners, this individual will provide design, development, implementation, and support of software solutions and systems integrations, primarily supporting Salesforce related development.

Job Responsibilities

Meaningful experience with designing and building cloud-native infrastructure

Experience implementing CI/CD infrastructures

Strong experience managing cloud-based production environment (AWS)

Experience with Infrastructure as a Code (Terraform, Cloudformation, CDK)

Coding in Python/Java/Go (or another equivalent), combined with strong operational skills

Extensive experience with Docker, Kubernetes or ECS

Experience Debugging and troubleshooting complex problems in the cloud

A quick learning curve, ability to rapidly and independently take on new technologies and technical challenges

Team player possessing strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills

Strong leadership skills. Able to influence, presenting and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical people

Experience:

3+ years (software engineering)

Required Skills:

Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

Design, build and operate Cloud infrastructure to enable reliable and rapid CI/CD of microservices with effective monitoring and resilient operations

Define standards and best practices for the organization

Be an essential part of the roadmap and strategy for the development organization.

Work cross-functionally on various product lines, and/or business units to drive forward results

Operation & Support - support the availability of the platform and the production application

Automate processes wherever possible to reduce repetitive manual effort

SQL experience and knowledge

Critical thinking and problem solving ability

Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently and deliver results on aggressive timelines

Experience in agile sprint workflows

Excellent communication skills

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
