Material Handler

**Job Title: Weekend Material Handler**

**Shift:** WEEKEND SHIFT: FRI,SAT,SUN - 6:00AM-6:30PM

**Job Description**

The Material Handler is responsible for using motorized industrial equipment to load and unload trucks, transport and locate materials, pick and put-away products, and replenish picking locations.

**Responsibilities**

+ Operate motorized industrial equipment such as sit-down fork trucks, stock pickers, and reach trucks.

+ Perform daily checks of equipment before operating.

+ Operate within standard operating procedures.

+ Use hand-held or truck-mounted radio frequency (RF) scanners.

+ Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.

+ Maintain accurate logs or other required documentation depending on the job task being performed.

+ Follow work order instructions to perform assignments throughout the facility.

+ Follow documented procedures with accuracy.

+ Other duties as assigned.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Ability to pass the motorized industrial equipment test and obtain a license.

+ Capability to rotate positions/jobs as required.

+ Participation in department meetings and projects.

+ Meet safety, accuracy, productivity, and housekeeping minimum standards.

+ Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

+ Ability to work independently.

+ Good math skills.

+ Timely and regular attendance; flexibility to work weekends if needed.

+ Capability to lift 45 pounds.

Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM in a non-climate controlled production environment.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75/hr.
