Job Summary
The Personal Lines Account Manager is a licensed agent who is responsible for providing customer service, policy
maintenance, coverage placement, problem resolution and retention for an assigned group of personal lines
accounts. This role requires a thorough understanding of insurance products and state and federal laws that regulate
insurance
Responsibilities
Create and maintain strong personal relationships with clients, company underwriters & producers;
Maintain client satisfaction in the assigned books of business;
Maintain relationships with current carriers or specialty markets to place business.
Provide technical support to Producers for new business development and assist with servicing of renewal accounts;
Review existing files for coverage upgrades and/or account rounding, make recommendations to insureds and document outcome in file to prevent E&O exposures, with or without producer involvement;
Receive phone calls to service accounts for new business, renewals, endorsements, evidence of insurance and/or questions including but not limited to clients, carriers or financial institutions;
Review renewal business accounts to determine additional lines of insurance and/or additional increased limits required for the current insurance program;
Process renewals in the Agency's insurance management system by updating billing screens, commissions, producer codes, company codes and status codes while reviewing branch broker codes for accuracy;
Issue evidence of property upon request and verifying the accuracy of the coverage on the policy; endorse policies as necessary;
Receive change or endorsement requests from the insured or producer and process according to departmental procedures;
Report claims to the carrier according to departmental procedures.
Cross-sell and actively solicit increased limits and/or coverages for accounts through sales renewal review with client and document outcome in customer file;
Act as liaison between the carrier and client with regards to inspections and ensure that client responds and complies with recommendations by corresponding with carrier according to departmental procedures;
Prepare and process lost policy releases (LPRs) as requested by the insured according to departmental procedures;
Prepare new business submissions when the new business department is on vacation or out of the office;
Training within the Department, as needed, for existing and new team members;
Support other team members, as needed, when Department is short-staffed, backlogged or are engaged in a special project;
Special projects as assigned;
Notify Department Manager or Team Leader if unable to consistently meet department's service standards.

Requirements
Two years personal lines property & casualty experience;
High school diploma or GED;
Current, active Property and Casualty (P&C) license in the State of Ohio;
