SUMMARY
We are seeking an Electrical Hardware Test Engineer for an autonomous vehicle manufacturing leader. This engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring that electromechanical systems are functioning. RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop test plans and test cases to validate the electromechanical hardware in autonomous vehicle systems.
Work with design engineers to identify key performance parameters to test and validate.
Test and verify that sensor data, power management systems, and other hardware components are correctly processed by the software systems, ensuring accurate operation of autonomous functions.
Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical hardware issues that arise during testing.
Work with design teams to resolve issues related to electrical components, wiring, circuit boards, and overall integration.
Document test results, analysis, and conclusions in detailed reports, ensuring transparency and traceability.
Provide feedback to design and development teams to help improve the electrical hardware based on test findings.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 2+ years of electromechanical troubleshooting and testing experience
Experience writing scripts using LabVIEW, Python or MATLAB
Experience working with Linux
Familiarity with ethernet and/or CAN communication protocols
Experience and working knowledge of common test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electric load, current sensors, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and LISNs)
Preferred experience includes EMI and Environment testing and experience conducting testing per MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-464, DO-160 or similar standards.
