Description:

The incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Manager of IT. The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the setup, install, repair, and maintenance of PC workstations and peripherals at all First New York locations. Will be responsible for software installs, updates and patches. The incumbent must have excellent organization skills, good attention to details, an ability to follow verbal and written instructions and documentation. Good diagnostic and problem-solving ability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Desktops and Peripherals

Provide first level response to trouble tickets and calls.

Provide primary support to executives.

Provide field level diagnostics, repair or escalation of workstation, peripheral and software related issues.

Equipment Maintenance: Diagnostic - Troubleshoot PC/Printer problems; Advise & repair equipment as necessary; Install new equipment.

Maintain inventory of common problem parts and accessories as coordinated by the Server/Software Administrator.

Maintain patch and release levels or otherwise ensure a current state of all operating systems, software or configurations.

Monitor related bulletins and websites for patches, fixes and vulnerability alerts

Adding, changing, deleting peripherals.

Provide for End User support, assistance and isolated training

Coordinate inventory, maintenance and repair of all related hardware equipment.

Route and terminate computer cabling as required.

Recommendations for efficiencies and improvements.

Provide for Systems Operator backup as needed.

Closely adhere to First New York information security polices and procedure in the execution of duties.

Other:

May assist in 24 hour support via paging system upon request.

Occasional involvement in short term projects such as product research or testing.

Perform off-hour system maintenance and special processing duties.

Maintain documentation and equipment maintenance schedules.

Test systems and assist other departmental staff as needed.

Maintain all reference materials.

Remain current and knowledgeable in all related fields of expertise.

Other duties as assigned.Requirements:

Knowledgeable in PC and printer repair and maintenance.

Must be able to respect confidential information.

Must have good verbal and written communications skills.

Preferred certifications: A+, Network+, Security+ (or equivalents)

Reliable transportation and clean driver’s license.

Able to lift 40lbs.

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:15 am – 5:00 pm

Reports to: Manager of IT

Work Location: Fully On-Site
