Welder/Fabricator
Job Description
A Welder or Fabricator is responsible for assembling pieces of metal together or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal into shape. Their duties include reviewing blueprints, cutting the metal into the appropriate shape, and smoothing molten metal to remove creases.
Responsibilities
MIG weld on carbon steel and some stainless steel.
Build bulk storage tanks.
Review blueprints to understand project specifications.
Cut metal into appropriate shapes.
Smooth molten metal to remove creases.
Operate heavy machinery and shop tools.
Ability to move up to 75 LBS.Essential Skills
MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel.
Fabrication skills.
Grinding and finishing techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience with hand tools and heavy machinery.
Attention to detail and good time management skills.
Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages weighing up to 75 pounds.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience with bead blasting and timesaver operating.
Knowledge of shear and sub arc welding techniques.

Work Environment
This position is based in a typical shop environment with individual workstations. You will be expected to work full-time, 40 hours per week, utilizing a variety of shop tools and machinery.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
