Essential Functions

Sweep or vacuum and damp mop hard surface floors and vacuum carpeted floors.

Dust work surfaces, other furniture, and other horizontal and vertical surfaces.

Clean restrooms including toilets, urinals, partitions, sinks, counters, mirrors, floors and walls.

Replenish restroom dispensers with paper products and soap.

Clean entrance glass and other interior glass.

Operate and maintain equipment such as vacuum cleaners, scrubbers

Work effectively with other team members.

Conduct all work in accordance with company procedures, including safety, door lock, time & attendance, and uniform policies.

Remove trash from containers and replace torn or soiled liners.

Report building and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.

Work with maintenance team on any facility projects.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Heavy Manufacturing Environment. MKC houses different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to noisy. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand, stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Must be able to regularly walk throughout the manufacturing facility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis.

High school diploma, or equivalent preferred. Basic reading and math skills required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to use the industrial cleaning machines

Physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.

Must have valid driver's license.
