Fourslide & Multislide Tool & Die Maker, Chicago, IL
Currently looking for a first shift Fourslide & Multislide Tool & Die Maker to fill a direct hire opening with a company in Chicago, IL. Interested candidates should have at least one year of apprenticeship Fourslide and/or Multislide tool & die making as an absolute minimum.
Responsibilities of the Fourslide & Multislide Tool & Die Maker
Build #28 Multislide progressive dies for metal stamping
Assemble tooling for Fourslides with press bed sections such as #4 Nilsons
Work on maintaining dies for US Bairds and other presses such as Bihlers, Bruderer's and OBI's.
Review SolidWorks, AutoCAD or other CAD drawings and build the detailed components of progressive dies such as die blocks, strippers, stick cutting punches, form punches, punch plates, etc.
Be involved with design reviews to evaluate strip layouts, bend allowances, etc.
Recommend how in-die sensors can be used extend the longevity of the tooling if possible.
Be involved with quoting the press and secondary cycle times and tooling costs if possible.
This is a first shift position.
Requirements of the Fourslide & Multislide Tool & Die Maker
High School Diploma
At least entry level tool & die metal stamping apprenticeship experience.
Fourslide and/or #28 Multislide experience with strip and/or wire is preferred.
Compensation of the Fourslide & Multislide Tool & Die Maker
The targeted hourly base salary for this first shift position ranges from $24.00 to $41.00 per hour depending on experience.
Full-time
