The Program Manager II is funded by a three-year grant awarded by the Department of Justice to the Coalition for Compassionate Schools (CforCS). As part of the Coalition's Trauma Informed Youth and Family Engagement Team, this position advances the adoption, installation, implementation, and sustainability of equitable, healing-centered, and trauma-informed school-wide practices and support systems. The Program Manager II provides advanced program management to include management of program budget and financial reporting/projections, development, outreach, and program personnel. This position contributes to program's strategic planning and goal management. This position owns the functions of the program.

The Program Manager II co-leads the team as they align, pilot, and evaluate strategies to improve school culture and climate at three New Orleans K-8 charter schools. This position supports the schools' culture teams by providing administrative, planning and implementation support for the rollout of restorative practices in the schools. The Program Manager II assesses and strengthens school administrators and instructors' approaches to coordinating quality care for students who have experienced trauma. This position prioritizes staff and student well-being and improves the school community's capacity for learning.

The Program Manager II co-leads the Coalitions parent and youth participatory action research programs and assists parent and youth participants in sharing their research with school partners. Additionally, this position will support school administrators in implementing youth and parent ideas to create an equitable, safe, and supportive learning environment for young people. The Program Manager II will work to create sustainability within these programs so that school staff, parents, and students feel confident leading the programs with minimal Coalition support in future years.Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Child Development, Behavioral Health, Student Services, or a related field) with 3 years of directly related work experience.OR• High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 7 years of directly related work experience.• At least 3 years of experience working with early adolescents of color in a school or school-like environment.• Experience teaching and/or facilitating complex topics in Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree (in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Child Development, Behavioral Health, Student Services, or a related field) with 3 years of directly related work experience.• Certification from reputable programs related to healing-centered and/or trauma-informed approaches in schools, Positive Youth Development, Youth Mental Health First Aid, etc.
