Group Details

Tradeweb Direct is seeking a mid-level Java Developer with strong SQL and PL/SQL skills to help build and enhance our real-time trading platform. This is an exciting opportunity to join an autonomous development group that is tasked with re-engineering our current platform. This involves a complete re-architecture of our Tradeweb Direct Retail Platform with technology that allows for scalable real-time execution.

Tradeweb Technology jobs are fully remote. The Tradeweb Technology hub is located in our Jersey City office which can be used for team meetings and collaboration efforts. There may be days where travel to the Jersey City office is recommended for organizational off-sites.

Job Responsibilities

Creating new features and enhancing functionality on a mission critical platform

Adapts and extend existing re-usable components and libraries.

Develops high quality software while meeting deadlines

Assists with rollout and post production support

Presents ideas for system improvements

Design or upgrade an existing software to ensure product performance and quality expectations are met

Qualifications

Must be a creative problem solver with strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues

Demonstrated expertise in algorithms and data structures

Strong ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline

5+ years of Core Java development experience, including building high-throughput, low-latency, event-driven multithreaded applications

Experience with PL/SQL for server-side development

JavaScript experience required

Deep understanding of large-scale, distributed, real-time systems architecture and implementations

Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)

Oracle Database experience preferred, familiarity with Sybase or other relational databases also acceptable

Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Redis, or Kafka is a strong plus

Linux client/server experience preferred.

Experience working on a fixed-income trading platform

Preferred Experience:

HTML5, CSS, JSON, XML and related web technologies

Unix/Linux

The current pay range for this role is currently $150000 to $250000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, and internal guidelines.

This role will also be eligible to participate in Tradeweb’s discretionary bonus program.

This role is expected to remain open until 5/30.
