Job Summary
The System Director of Retail Technology and Innovation is an experienced, strategic leader with proven multi unit management experience. This opportunity will be with our Memorial Hermann account, a key part of our system team.
Responsible for the day to day operation of the region’s Retail Food Services as well as providing overall direction, strategy formulation and execution to grow the current P&L retail revenue for the region. Accountable for building upon the Branches retail brand, maximizing revenue and profits, growing the business, managing client and customer satisfaction, and associate loyalty as it relates to the retail operations of home account as well as assigned P/L retail operations. Drives and supports sector initiatives as directed. Other duties, special projects and initiatives may be assigned. You will be responsible for driving the Retail Modernization Initiative. This role is crucial for integrating advanced technology solutions and optimizing retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operates the department in accordance with the approved budget, while providing the client with the maximum value for the dollars spent
Maintains excellent relationships with patients, guests and client as well as other departments within the hospital
Promotes the professional growth and development of the entire team
Lead and manage multiple retail projects to ensure timely completion within applicable timelines
Collaborate effectively with system leaders, facility directors, Memorial Hermann ISD, Compass Digital Labs team, and vendor partners to ensure seamless integration of new initiatives
Provide training and mentorship to retail team members and leaders
Drive the Retail Modernization Initiative, including upgrading point of sale hardware, implementing on-demand barcoding, full self-checkout systems, kiosk order and pay solutions, and mobile order platforms across the entire system.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
Proficiency in retail management software and technology-driven retail solutions. Experience with Nextep POS and Transact (MM Hayes) Mobile Order is preferred
A high-energy, hands-on approach to driving retail projects, with an emphasis on urgency and efficiency
Merchandising experience required
Multi-unit experience is required
P&L experience preferred
Must have large volume account management experience
Strong knowledge of retail trends
Must be forward thinking and proactive
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to communicate with all levels within a sophisticated client environment
Must have the ability to travel locally to other accounts on an as needed basis
