Job Summary:
We are seeking two highly experienced Business Process Subject Matter Specialists to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for Information Operations. This role requires advanced expertise in operational environments, functional systems analysis, and business process transformation. The specialist will provide strategic and technical guidance throughout all phases of software development, with a strong emphasis on planning, analysis, integration, testing, and documentation of mission-critical logistics applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert-level technical knowledge and analysis on highly specialized DoD and DLA logistics and operational applications.
Lead and participate in all phases of software/system development: planning, requirements analysis, system design, integration, testing, documentation, and presentation.
Develop acquisition strategies, business case analyses, and analyses of alternatives.
Support capability development documentation, change proposals, and communication plans.
Conduct site assessments and prepare for milestone reviews as part of DLA’s business transformation initiatives.
Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and are approved by the DLA Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
Advise portfolio and program managers across the entire acquisition lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the delivery and sustainment of IT solutions with strategic value.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in business process analysis, system integration, or related fields within DoD/Defense environments.
Certification: Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority (e.g., PMP, CBAP, ITIL, Six Sigma, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), or similar federal programs.
Strong understanding of acquisition lifecycle and business transformation strategies in federal logistics or IT domains.
Demonstrated success in developing high-level documentation and briefing materials for senior leadership.
Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
