Silver Star Protection Group is looking for an experienced and driven Human Resources Manager to join our corporate team. This position will handle all daily operational HR duties while also contributing to overall HR strategies and processes. This is a full-time exempt position that will work out of our office in Rolling Meadows, IL.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals

Provide and analyze data on headcount, retention, overtime, talent acquisition, tenure, ect..

Ensure compliance with all labor laws and internal policies

Conduct investigations and resolve employee conflicts, claims, and issues

Contribute positively to the work environment and culture of the team

Lead performance review process, provide coaching to supervisors, and ensure continuous employee development

Attend sensitive meetings and document necessary conversations

Approve and provide guidance for onboarding and offboarding

Answering questions related to various HR inquiries by employees and the public

Revising handbook as needed for revisions and annual updates

Ensure all required trainings and certifications are completed annually or upon expiration

Main point of contact for responding to unemployment claims

Manage all leaves of absence administration including FMLA and Workers Compensation

Main point of contact for benefits administration including enrollment, changes, deductions, retirement and information

Expertly maintain HRIS system for accurate information and data

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field

SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred

2-5+ years of progressive HR experience

Strong understanding of HR laws and best practices

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
