General Description: The DSI/Material Handler plays a critical role in supporting the efficient operation of the Packaging department. This position is primarily responsible for tracking inventory and managing materials through our internal tracking system, DSI. The Material Handler collaborates closely with the Lead and Supervisor to ensure accurate allocation and availability of materials, contributing directly to production success.

Schedule:

Days = 5:30am - 1:30pm, Monday through Friday

No weekends or Holidays!

Wage:

Pay Grade 50

Must be 18 years of age.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment.

Allocate and track raw materials using the DSI system to support packaging and production lines.

Operate barcode scanners and scanner guns to move and locate items within the warehouse.

Perform regular data entry and adjustments in Stock Processor to maintain accurate inventory records.

Identify and resolve discrepancies between physical and virtual inventory.

Train co-workers on scanning procedures and material handling best practices.

Support production runs by ensuring materials are properly allocated and available.

Maintain warehouse accuracy by identifying and removing outdated or empty virtual pallets.Requirements:

Required (Basic) Education / Experience/ Competencies and Other Skills:

· High School diploma or GED preferred.

· Job-related experience in the dairy industry a plus.

· Above average communication skills including written and verbal.

· Prior experience/training or demonstrated aptitude for computer programing.

· Above average organizational and interpersonal skills.

· Unquestionable Integrity.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to manage competing priorities.

· Curious, inquisitive and willingness to learn.

· Critical thinking skills.

Physical Demands:

· Must be able to lift, up to 50 lbs. on a regular occurrence.

· Stand for duration of shift.

· Be able to stoop, squat, reach, lift, twist, turn and move appropriately and frequently.

· Ability to operate normal office equipment.

· Must hold a valid Driver’s License.

· Extensive use of Computers and software.

· Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen as well as a general background check.

Work Environment / Environment Condition:

Dairy Plant environments.

Working hours will vary depending on need.
