Asphalt Plant Operator

Job Summary

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator based out of our Newark, NJ office to oversee credit risk assessment and collection activities for key accounts in our East Region. This role is responsible for day to day operations of manufacturing asphalt

Day to Day

Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition

Day to day operations of manufacturing asphalt

Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.

Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance

Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators

Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

About You:

Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance

5-10 years of experience

Positive, Team-based attitude

The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.

The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)

Basic computer, working with hands, welding

Working Conditions:

While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
