Store Security Specialist/Roamer

United Dairy Farmers is seeking a Part-Time Store Security Specialist/Roamer for our retail stores.

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Visit stores and complete an Associate Safety Review Report.

Security Roamer should introduce themselves to the associates working and instruct them as to why they are visiting the store.

Always have proper ID badge visible.

Check all cash drawers to make sure associates are keeping the cash level within the range allowed by company policy for their assigned register. List issues found on the ASRR.

List any serious uniform policy violations.

Check DVRs to make sure they are functioning and recording footage properly. Verify that all cameras are currently showing on the LIVE screen and recording.

Make sure the PCI & DVR cabinets / closets are locked and secure.

Check to see when the alarm system was last tested and perform a test if it has not been done during the previous calendar month. Verify that all zones tested are transmitting signals to the alarm monitoring service.

Check the store and report any miscellaneous safety issues such as discharged fire extinguishers, blocked fire exits, etc.

Make sure all perimeter doors are locked and check the DETEX panic alarm bar if possible.

Complete any of the other miscellaneous sections of the ASRR that apply and distribute copies appropriately.

Check the Electronic Journal for indications of theft or fraud and compare it to video.

Check the store before entering to look for anything security / safety concerns.

Aid other UDF Security Personnel with surveillance when asked.

Troubleshoot the video system if it is not working properly. List problems found on the ASRR.

Ensure that the associates know the robbery procedures in the event a robbery occurs.

Be on watch for shoplifting that may occur while they are in the store. Complete an Incident Loss Report, record video, and respond to any subpoena to appear in court.

Deter panhandling by asking them to leave and notify the police if the Panhandler does not comply.

Inform the Zone Security Manager when theft or fraud is found.
