We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Product Owner to lead the management, development, and optimization of our enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, including NetSuite and a legacy custom-built ERP solution. This role is critical in aligning business needs with technology capabilities to maximize ERP value across the organization. The ideal candidate excels at bridging technology and stakeholder needs, solving problems, and building consensus across teams.
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
Equivalent work experience will also be considered
Experience
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role managing ERP systems.
Hands-on experience with NetSuite and familiarity with legacy ERP solutions, preferably custom-built systems.
Proven track record of managing ERP migrations or large-scale system transitions is highly desirable.
Experience in the manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution sectors, preferred.
Certification in Agile Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM), preferred.
Familiarity with data migration tools and processes, preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of ERP systems, including configuration, workflows, and reporting.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business teams.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and backlog management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
1. ERP System Ownership
Serve as the primary Product Owner for both NetSuite and IGIS (legacy custom ERP), ensuring seamless functionality and alignment with business goals.
Manage the product lifecycle for ERP systems, including gathering requirements, prioritizing features, and coordinating system updates or enhancements.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, Supply Chain) to understand business processes and translate them into technical requirements.
Act as a liaison between business teams and IT, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
3. Internal IT & Development Collaboration
Partner closely with internal IT and development teams to design, develop, and implement ERP system enhancements.
Work with developers to refine technical requirements, define user stories, and ensure timely delivery of features.
Facilitate regular sprint planning and reviews to track progress and address challenges collaboratively.
4. Backlog Management
Develop and maintain a comprehensive backlog for ERP development, prioritizing work based on business impact, urgency, and dependencies.
Ensure timely delivery of features and enhancements by coordinating with development teams and vendors.
5. System Optimization
Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, streamline workflows, and automate processes to improve efficiency.
Oversee regular updates, patches, and testing for ERP systems to ensure system reliability and security.
6. Data Integrity & Reporting
Ensure data integrity across both ERP platforms and establish standards for data governance.
Collaborate with business teams to develop and maintain robust reporting and analytics capabilities.
7. Migration Support
Provide strategic input and operational support for the migration efforts to NetSuite, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Participate in planning and execution of migration activities, including data migration, process mapping, testing, and training.
8. Training & Documentation
Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users to ensure effective use of ERP systems.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, workflows, and processes.
9. Issue Resolution
Manage and resolve system-related issues, collaborating with internal IT teams and external vendors as needed.
Monitor and track system performance metrics to proactively identify and address potential problems.
