Conduct daily operations support and surveillance for individual Cowboy units
Understand inlet and outlet specifications, and work through upsets with the field
Troubleshooting issues with various processes, including:
Mole sieve dehydration
Cryogenic gas processing
Oil stabilization
Condensate stabilization
Utilities (instrument air, nitrogen generation)
Review and support MOCs for process and fixed equipment
Manage and update Process Safety Information for their unit (P&IDs, Max Intended Inventory, Cause and efforts, process flow diagram, tc.)
Support FIMS program activities (chemicals management, fixed equipment inspection, etc.)
Plan turnarounds and maintenance outages according to SDMS
Creating a budget and tracking process
Steward work pack generation
Gate reviews with asset leadership
Support Company Plan activities – opex planning, capital projects (< $10M), turnaround supplement, volumes forecasting
Participate in concept select, front end engineering, detailed engineering reviews for major and minor capital projects such as HAZOPS, model reviews, and right scope workshops as appropriate
Contribute to Operations Readiness deliverables such as
Review operating and maintenance procedures
Participate in alarm rationalization for new equipment
Develop surveillance plans for new equipment
Review commissioning plans for new equipment, and conduct surveillance during commissioning and startup
Review operating and capital spares for new equipment
Understand equipment downtime drivers, and conduct root cause analysis as appropriate
Review downtime tool results
Develop and update PDRR plans as appropriate
Conduct Single Point of Failure studies and close out action items
Interface with Permian-wide facility engineers, including mentoring
Support PSM team in meeting requirements, conducting audits and other activities
Participate in and / or lead risk screenings and assessments as appropriate
Identify hazards during site walks or discussions with operations
Closeout of action items
Effective interface and communication with other engineers, operations personnel, regulatory teams, and various technical specialists in Uncon and EMTEC
Relationship-building across teams in Houston, Midland and Carlsbad
Able to prioritize across competing project and operations efforts
Lead small teams in risk assessments, RCFAs, MOCs, etc.
Skills Required
5-10 years of experience
Behavioral skills
Education/Training/Certifications
Highschool diploma or GED.
