Senior Embedded Software Engineer

***THIS IS A FULL ON SITE POSITION LOCATED near the Charter Oak, CALIFORNIA Area***

USA Citizen OR USA Permanent Resident (Greencard) only due to ITAR requirements.

This position is for a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to develop and optimize firmware for RF power amplifiers and related communication systems. This role involves working closely with RF, hardware, and system engineers to design embedded solutions that enhance performance, efficiency, and reliability in RF amplification applications.

What you will do

Develop firmware for RF Amplifiers

Design and Implement State Machine on RTOS platform using C

Implement device drivers using vendor evaluation kits

Create an interactive GUI for external interface

Perform System Verification and Troubleshooting of New Products

Collaborate with Electrical/System Engineers to develop firmware requirements

Implement multiple communication protocols (RS-232, RS-485, UART, I2C, SPI)

Tune system performance and optimize existing state machine

Knowledge of version control tools

Support program design reviews and status meetings

Requirements

Bachelor or Master degree from an accredited course of study, in, computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering or equivalent qualification.

5+ years of demonstrated applicable experience in embedded software development

5+ years of experience designing and developing software using C/C++

Experience working in a highly collaborative environment with diverse stakeholder need

Proficient at Visual C++ for GUI Development

Familiarity with JIRA or other issue tracking software

Experience programming and testing high reliability, safety critical and fault tolerance systems

Cortex-M4 ARM processors development experience

TCP/IP application development and embedded web development

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required typing skills.

Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds

Must be able to sit for an extended period of time
