Company description:

My client is a Manufacturer of Textile Products. They are recruiting for a Mechatronics Engineer, ideally with a background in Textiles / Plastics Manufacturing. This is working a days position Monday – Friday, with the salary on offer for this position being circa $110,000 – $120,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities as the Mechatronics Engineer:

Design, develop, and implement integrated mechatronic systems combining mechanical, electrical, software, and control engineering.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing automated equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, servo motors, sensors, robotics, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.

Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and process engineering teams to support new equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning.

Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for equipment failures and downtime.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and operation manuals.

Optimize control systems and production processes to improve efficiency, throughput, and product quality.

Taking an active lead in project work

Improving manual operations by implementing automation solutions

Experience Required as a Mechatronics Engineer:

Minimum 5 years of experience in the textile or plastics manufacturing industry.
