Software Engineer in Test

Role Type: Full Time Employment (no C2C/C2H)

Location: Baltimore, MD preferred (Other accepted locations: Wilmington, DE / Charlotte, NC / Dallas, TX / or Evansville, IN)

Job Description: Sogeti is seeking a talented Software Test Engineer Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks, ensuring both functional and non-functional requirements are met. This role emphasizes testability and collaboration with developers to resolve issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in an agile development team, delivering high-quality software.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.

Identify and report software defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues.

Conduct code reviews, focusing on testability and maintainability.

Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

Execute comprehensive test plans and scenarios.

Implement continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Monitor test results and provide feedback on software quality.

Collaborate with stakeholders to refine testing strategies.

Work with XML and JSON for content/data feeds and REST for consuming API.

Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in software testing.

Required Skills and Experience:

3+ years hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium).

1-3+ years of experience in programming languages like Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Python.

Experience with RESTful API Testing (e.g., Postman, JMeter).

Proficiency in web development technologies (e.g., Ruby on Rails, React).

Knowledge of SQL and no-SQL databases, cloud platforms (AWS preferred).

Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD tools.

Experience with XML and JSON for content/data feeds and REST for consuming API.

Knowledge of LINUX and macOS operating systems.

Familiarity with macOS and LINUX shell scripting.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
