Client is looking a Test Engineer on the Verification and Validation team. You will support the development of advanced electromechanical systems by designing and executing tests, analyzing data, and contributing to quality and compliance processes throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute verification test methods and documentation for electrical/mechanical components and systems
Drive quality in development via analysis, testing, and feedback loops
Design test setups including methodology, materials, and acceptance criteria
Perform hands-on functional testing of assemblies and systems
Support R&D and manufacturing by collecting and analyzing test data
Assist in the design of hardware/software tools and fixtures for testing
Interpret engineering drawings and compliance standards to ensure test coverage
Execute tests in-house and at third-party labs, reporting defects and issues
Conduct feasibility and characterization testing under supervision
Analyze test data for accuracy and record results using tools like ALM
Maintain lab equipment and perform system rework and calibration as needed
Qualifications:
1+ year of hands-on engineering experience, preferably in electromechanical systems
Experience with verification & validation (V&V) testing and documentation
Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of root cause analysis
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Skilled in using lab tools: oscilloscope, DMM, calipers, force/pressure gauges, etc.
Education: -
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to requirements management tools like ALM, DOORS, or JIRA
Understanding of root cause analysis methodologies
Knowledge of test automation or basic programming (Python, LabVIEW, etc.)
Comfortable working in fast-paced R&D and cross-functional environments
Demonstrated collaboration with R&D, QA, and manufacturing teams
Required Skill: -
Experience with electromechanical system testing (V&V)
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Hands-on experience using lab equipment: Oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies, force gauges, flow meters, etc.
Proficient in test documentation – protocols, reports, test cases
