Quality Assurance Manager

Our client is a food products company with operations in Wisconsin, specializing in Hispanic Cheese. We are assisting them in identifying a successful Quality Assurance Manager to oversee food safety. The ideal candidate will drive the implementation of food safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage quality initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company's commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead food safety programs at our Wisconsin facility, ensuring compliance with USDA, FDA, FSMA, and other regulatory standards.

Implement and maintain food safety protocols, including GMP, HACCP, SSOP, and EMP.

Manage audits and inspections, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in quality and safety processes.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the food safety and quality team, making independent decisions in the absence of direct on-site FSQ support.

Ensure compliance in dairy production, focusing on process improvement and risk management.

Preferred Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.

5+ years of leadership experience in food manufacturing, preferably in dairy industries.

Extensive knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSMA, SSOP, and regulatory compliance with USDA and FDA standards.

Experience in implementing food safety programs from scratch and managing audits.

Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently.

Expertise in managing food safety programs, audits, and regulatory compliance.

Proven track record of process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives in food safety and quality.
