The Enterprise Center, Inc. is a Chattanooga-based nonprofit organization that brings people, organizations, and technology together to create an advanced and inclusive future for our community. As our organization continues to grow—managing three federal and four state grants—we’re seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our finance operations.
Position Overview:
This role requires 20-30 hours per week and will report to our Finance Director. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in bookkeeping. This is a flexible, hourly position with a competitive pay rate based on qualifications and experience.
This is a hybrid role—primarily remote with some required in-office hours. Applicants should be based in the Chattanooga area.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable
Generate and track 10-15 monthly invoices with grant-specific compliance
Payroll (35-40 salaried employees)
Process semi-monthly payroll (15th and last day of the month)
Manage 403(b) contributions
Process payroll tax transfers and payments
Reimburse employee travel expenses
Accounting Support
Collect and reconcile credit card receipts
Manage weekly bill payments (5–10 per week) through SmartBank online bill pay
Qualifications:
Minimum associate’s degree or relevant bookkeeping experience
Experience with nonprofit or grant-related accounting preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Familiarity with payroll systems and online banking platforms a plus
