Junior Enterprise Architecture Analyst

Columbus, Ohio

Brief Description:

The Enterprise Architecture Analyst will work as part of the larger team to support the goals and objectives of the Enterprise Architecture Team, while helping to ensure consistency with company strategy and goals.

Detailed Description:

This role is an entry level position requiring the individual to be curious, driven, well-organized, and to possess strong learning abilities. They must be self-motivated, thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and complete tasks on agreed schedules. The team will look for this individual to assist in architecture and resiliency engineering initiatives and help execute the tasks and activities of the broader team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to capture data, perform analysis, and document usage patterns.

Support the team’s automation efforts through the creation, implementation and maintenance of scripts.

Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering teams to aid in the goal of enterprise alignment on resiliency goals and to integrate resiliency practices into the SDLC.

Support the promotion of best practices for resiliency engineering (e.g., service level objectives, incident response, chaos engineering, and disaster recovery planning).

Elicit information and requirements to gain understanding of business partners’ objectives and needs.

Analyze requirements and create appropriate deliverables.

Support team efforts in exploring new tools, technologies, and methodologies enhancing system robustness.

Develop understanding of technology ecosystems of each segment.

Understand contracts and end of life timelines for applications within the technology ecosystem.

Participate in team’s daily stand-ups, meetings, and updates.

Facilitate meetings and present data to teams and leaders.

Develop and update documentation to support new/changes to procedures.

Work with team to respond and answer questions generated by team members and business partners.

Partner with other teams on project and activities (e.g., Chief Development Office, Value Management Office, Technology Innovation Group, etc.).

Perform research and analysis related to assigned projects and efforts.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

1 year of business systems analysis experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent transferable experience through coursework, internships, or work experience in lieu of participation in the Elevate Program.

Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Basic understanding of Cloud and Cloud Services.

Understanding of or exposure to the Open Source Community.

Experience with PowerShell or Python.

Strong technical writing skills.

Experience with MS Word, EXCEL, and PowerPoint,

Strong business and technology aptitude with a willingness to learn and understand business and software solutions.

Ability to translate technology into relatable concepts for business partners and stakeholders.

Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to build strong partnerships and to work collaboratively with all business and IT areas.

Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

High level of professionalism, confidence, and ability to build credibility with team members and business partners.

Preferred Requirements:

Experience in a financial or regulated environment is a plus.

Experience with Visio or other process mapping tools.

Experience with or exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tolls such as Terraform or Ansible.

Understanding of API vs. Point to Point integration.

Experience writing requirements and technical documentation.

Experience creating process maps.
