Position Summary:
S/W Validation Engineering for automotive infotainment systems. Responsibilities include schedule maintenance for S/W releases, creation of test cases using automation software, automated functional validation execution, data communication debugging, and S/W code performance testing. This position will be involved in system integration and development, while being involved to ensuring that all the features of an internal S/W tool for head unit perform testing is at optimal system efficiency.
Job description:
• Review and recommend software related improvements based on usage and performance testing. Identifies areas for continuous improvement and present to S/W development team.
• Develop and maintain open issue list for customer engineering meetings.
• Support project related meetings with the customer and author minutes from customer meetings.
• Perform system tests in accordance with validation plan and suggest opportunities for improvement at our development team.
• Gain understanding of customer requirements/ requests to support Validation Team.
• Test and support test procedures as new requirements are received.
• Evaluate new software patches and evaluate all system impacts.
• Evaluate/ analyze/ counter measure claims and issues during development and production of products.
• Prepare necessary documentation, material, reports, etc. for customer engineering meeting.
• Develop and maintain open issue list for customer engineering meeting.
• Test and adjust automated test procedures with new functional requirements when released.
• Evaluate system impacts and regression with all new S/W releases.
Required Skills and Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering or related field or 2 years college equivalent Knowledge of
Python, & Basic Scripting
Ability to learn new technologies and skills quickly is key Attention to detail, good oral and
written communication skills
Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve software defects
and performance issues. Write clean, well-documented, and efficient test cases while adhering to
best practices.
