Buckle My Shoe Preschool is a Reggio Emilia-inspired early childhood program based in New York City, serving children ages 3 months to 5 years. We believe in the power of play, creativity, and community to shape confident, curious learners. With deep roots in the neighborhoods we serve, we are expanding our digital presence to reflect our vibrant community and history.
Role Overview
We are looking for a creative and driven Community & Digital Engagement Coordinator to help elevate our school's presence across LinkedIn and other digital platforms. This role will focus on promoting our events, fostering alumni connections, and strengthening community outreach through thoughtful and engaging content.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow our presence on LinkedIn, including posting school updates, professional development highlights, and community news
Promote upcoming school events and initiatives across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms (Facebook, Instagram, newsletters, etc.)
Research and engage with alumni to build a stronger alumni network and highlight their stories
Collaborate with school leadership to create targeted outreach strategies for families, educators, and partners
Support development of branded assets (graphics, posts, videos) that align with our values and aesthetic
Monitor engagement analytics and suggest content improvements
Explore partnerships or media opportunities that amplify our school’s voice in the early childhood and Reggio Emilia space
Ideal Candidate
Strong writing and storytelling skills
Social media savvy with a particular focus on LinkedIn and community-based marketing
Comfortable reaching out to alumni and community members to build relationships
Experience with Canva, social scheduling tools, or email marketing a plus
A passion for education, early childhood, or community building
Schedule & Compensation
This is a flexible, remote-friendly role estimated at 5–10 hours/week, with some availability needed during school events or launches. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
