Our Client is seeking a Techno-Functional Workday Analyst with a strong focus on Finance modules, and experience in HR modules is highly preferred. This role is essential in optimizing and maintaining our Workday platform to support accounting, procurement, planning, and payroll integrations. You’ll act as a cross-functional liaison between finance, HR, and IT—translating business requirements into actionable system configurations and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

Workday Finance Module Ownership

Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Finance modules, including Financial Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Projects, and Supplier Accounts.

Configure and maintain Workday business processes, reports, and dashboards in support of finance operations.

Manage functional and technical aspects of Workday Financials, including system testing, troubleshooting, and security access management.

Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to design scalable solutions that meet business requirements and compliance needs.

Techno-Functional Responsibilities

Translate functional business needs into system requirements and Workday configurations.

Develop and maintain custom reports, calculated fields, and integrations with third-party financial and HR systems.

Support data loads, system audits, and continuous improvements across modules.

Assist in Workday release management by evaluating new features, impact analysis, and system updates.

HR Module (Nice-to-Have)

Support and maintain HR-related configurations such as Core HCM, Time Tracking, Absence Management, or Compensation modules.

Collaborate with HR leadership to enhance workflows, ensure accurate data, and streamline user experience.

Stakeholder & Project Collaboration

Collaborate with finance, HR, IT, and external vendors to support Workday initiatives.

Assist in the planning and execution of cross-functional Workday projects, system enhancements, and migrations.

Document functional requirements, business rules, use cases, and SOPs for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

Required:

3–5+ years of experience as a Workday Analyst or Administrator with hands-on expertise in Workday Financials.

Proven experience in system configuration, reporting, and integrations within the Workday platform.

Strong understanding of financial processes such as GL, AP, procurement, and expense management.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Preferred:

Exposure or experience with Workday HR modules.

Experience in supporting Workday within a government contractor or regulated environment.

Familiarity with Workday Studio, EIBs, Web Services, and calculated fields.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Workday certifications (Finance, Reporting, or HCM) are a plus.
