Position Title Senior Salesforce Technical Architect

Daily Responsibilities
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Salesforce SaaS platform technologies to Government customers and stakeholders.
Responsible for owning the architecture and the designing of complex Salesforce platform solution components (e.g., design, development, integration, security, deployment, release management, and maintenance).
Lead and create API and data integrations between Salesforce and other services.
Work with Government leadership, the Salesforce solution technical team, and vendor support concerning strategies and technical aspects of platform upgrades.
Oversee major version upgrades to Salesforce orgs.
Modify and configure existing Salesforce orgs required to support client processes.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring, perform peer code reviews, and ensure the Salesforce team follows software development best practices.
Serve as Salesforce Release Manager and utilize Azure DevOps CI/CD best practice protocols to provide final technical review before release into production.
Ensure the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business by working with the project teams to ensure that proper testing is performed, and performance and security requirements are closely monitored.
Drive the creation of application and technical design documents that leverage Salesforce best practices and effectively integrate Salesforce into the enterprise infrastructure.
Maintain production instance reliability through the utilization of Change and Configuration Management processes.
Required: Years of Experience (min)
At least 4-6 years’ experience in an Architecture role.
At least 4 years’ experience with Integration technologies
At least 4 years’ experience in Agile methodologies
At least 4 years’ experience presenting to Executive-level clients
At least 3 years of recent experience working with the federal sector
At least 3 years of experience working with Salesforce Gov and Experience Clouds
Strongly Preferred: Experience
At least 1 year of experience with Education Cloud
Experience supporting the Department of State’s Salesforce implementations
Required: Degree
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related IT discipline
Allowable Substitution: An Additional ten (10) years of related professional experience can be substituted for a BS/BA degree

Required: Experience
Demonstrated experience working in a high-visibility position, in a high-pressure environment, while delivering exceptional results
Experience working in the federal sector and a comprehensive understanding of the security measures required within the federal space.
Extensive experience and demonstrated ability to present to and interact with executive-level and high-visibility clients on high-risk, high-impact solutions
Previous experience working for Salesforce as a Technical Architect, or in a role performing the Technical Architect duties described herein.
Experience working in an Enterprise Architecture and Integration practice.
Expert-level, hands-on understanding of the out-of-the-box Salesforce product suite, including Education, Service, Community Cloud (Experience Cloud), App Cloud, and Einstein solutions.
Expert end-to-end application life cycle implementation experience using the Salesforce platform.
Ability to define the system landscape, to identify gaps between current and desired end-state, and deliver a solution.
Experience in designing and developing software components.
Experience with development life cycle, code management strategies, sophisticated technical concepts, architecture, secure development practices, access management, data security, and capacity considerations.
Excellent hands-on experience with system configuration using workflows, approval processes, custom objects, validation rules, formulas, process builder, flows, and Data Loader.
Extensive hands-on experience integrating Salesforce systems with internal and external systems using Web-based API technologies (SOAP, REST), MuleSoft Middleware tool, and integration between Salesforce and MuleSoft itself.
Hands-on proficiency and development experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, Lightning Web Components, Force.com, and approaches to mobile applications.
Good knowledge of Web Development (Ajax, JavaScript, SOAP, HTTP, JS Remoting, Angular JS, CSS Bootstrap).
Ability to integrate Salesforce systems with Single Sign-on Identify Management platforms like OKTA.
Experience with meta-data migration between Salesforce.com (SFDC) Sandboxes and Production Orgs using Change Sets.
Experience with Release Management, Source Control, and Deployment concepts, and technologies such as ANT, SFDC Metadata API, GitHub, Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipelines.
Ability to lead design sessions and communicate out-of-the-box and custom design options to Government customers and stakeholders.
